Protecting Taxpayers
Residents deserve disciplined budgeting and responsible financial decisions. Growth should broaden the tax base so existing homeowners are not carrying the burden alone. If responsible planning allows for a no new revenue rate, I will support it.
Balanced Development
A strong community includes both residential and commercial growth. Thoughtful commercial development creates jobs, strengthens the tax base, and supports long term stability.
Responsible Growth
Hutto will continue to grow, but that growth must be managed responsibly. Roads, water, public safety, and infrastructure should keep pace with development so growth strengthens the community rather than overwhelming it.
Supporting Strong Schools
While the city council does not govern the school district, the success of our schools is closely connected to the success of our community. Strong schools attract families, support property values, and help prepare the next generation for success. I believe the city should maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with Hutto ISD and support opportunities that benefit students, families, and teachers in our community.
Infrastructure Planning
Traffic, water / wastewater, and long term infrastructure planning are critical as Hutto expands. The city must think years ahead so we are not reacting to problems after they appear.
Transparent Leadership
Residents deserve open communication and thoughtful decision making from their elected officials. Listening to the community and asking the right questions should always come before major decisions.
